A beautiful little hotel on the tiny island of Donsö, with very clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant is very good, and the breakfast buffet is spectacular. We happened to be there when the fiercest storm in a quarter century (Hans) hit the west coast of Sweden, so we were forced to stay inside. Isbolaget was so cozy and comfortable that we were happy to do so, even though we didn’t get to explore the island and its neighbor, Styrsö. The staff is warm and helpful as well.

SOEDER Countryhouse & Kitchen is set in the quiet countryside on a former horse ranch, 12 km from Båstad. We spent the night before Midsommar there. It is a solitary, quiet place, overlooking beautiful pastures and fields. The welcome room is quiet homey with books, family games & cards. Our room was spaceous, clean, with a compfy boxspring bed. For the evening we borrowed two velos for driving to Torekow - on the way back we took a swing on the swingset. In the morning Marianne & Michael served us a delicous breakfast. All in all its an wholesome experience - we loved it.

Facing the beachfront, Strandflickornas Husen invid Havet offers 3-star accommodation in Lysekil and has a garden, restaurant and bar. We stayed in one of the small houses/studio by the sea with own jacuzzi. It was magnificent!! We loved our own sauna space that during summer is turned into a relaxing room with an outstanding sea view! Everything was amazing but that which touched us the most was the professionalism of the staff and of the people in charge. Specific needs/situations were met and resolved with the highest professionalism as I had yet not met before ( and I do travel a lot both in Sweden and abroad). Thank you so much to all staff and to this amazing place that made my daughter’s 21th birthday an unforgettable one ♥️ And as a touch of pure grace, we had the amazing experience to see and touch the bioluminescence of “ Mareld” that were present by the shore so close to our studio! Better we could not ask for! Will definitely come back…and not only once!
