Situated in Skellefteå, less than 1 km from Västerbotten Theatre, The Wood Hotel by Elite, Spa & Resort features a bar and views of the mountain. The hotel feels really modern, clean and the lighting and decor is really pleasant (like Nordic spartan), both in the rooms and the general areas. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The foyer has a nice sitting area with arm-chairs, couches and faux furs. You can also grab a beer at the adjacent Paolo's and enjoy it in comfort. The in-house restaurants are handy and the food was quite nice, especially in the Miss Voon restaurant at the top of the hotel - great view from up there too. The breakfast was really good. A good mix of foods, juices & hot drinks with different dietary options too. Handy case storage behind reception if you check out and have time to kill. Its in a very convenient location, as the bus terminal is about 200m away, and you are situated right in the heart of town. It's also a stop for the Skelleftea airport shuttle bus, which is ideal.

U&me hotel is located in the center of Umeå, just 50 meters from the Umeälv. The contemporary furnished rooms all have a fantastic view of the city or the river. Great place. Perfect location. Nice view if you have a room with a view on the river !!! Good restaurant

Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. Breakfast was OK, though more fruit and vegetables would certainly improve the experience.
