Situated in Bastimentos, Ataraxia features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Manon and Pierre were absolutely great hosts. They have created a beautiful oasis to enjoy nature, surrounded by jungle and close to really nice beaches. The breakfast was tasty every time as well as the dinner! They offer a vegetarian alternative each time which was perfect for us. It is served at the best spot as well. On a deck with an amazing view! The cabin was perfect and clean: beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed! The noises of the jungle were the cherry on the cake. We could also use kayaks from them for free so we were able to explore the surroundings in a very cool way: a must do! This review is long overdue but allows us to reminisce about our stay!

With garden views, Carmen's place is located in Bastimentos and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar and garden. The property features sea and lake views. All of the special attentions of Carmen and Marcel to make you feel at home. In our case, the special skills of Carmen to adapt breakfast and dinner to our special diet restrictions and alkergies. Then, obviously, the paradise view and decks to admire it. Also the free Kayak to vist surroundings. So, really great place.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bastimentos where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, private beach area, and... The moment you reach this eco lodge you are welcomed by the proud owners Daniel and Brian. They are the perfect hosts and specialized in great food (breakfast, lunch and dinner!) and cool coktails. Nice to see how they connect you with the other interesting guests and make a real vibrant atmosphere in this lovely surrounding.

The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. We took a tour through the hotel which was a great day with Alejandro, and it was great value. Manuela gave us great restaurant recommendations. Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.
