Elegant Desert Lodge is very well situated and reasonably priced considering it’s proximity to Sesriem. Very comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated rooms, loved the crisp bed linen and cozy quilts. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the meals were delicious and plentiful, and the setting was beautiful. There was lots of outdoor space for guests to enjoy themselves without feeling crowded by other guests. The mid afternoon tea, coffee and cake service was a nice touch and very appreciated, as was the bed turndown in the evening, complete with small treat!

Located on a desert reserve between Sesriem and Solitaire, Soft Adventure Camp offers chalet accommodation for nature enthusiasts, just 30 minutes drive away from Namib-Naukluft National Park. What an amazing surprise! We were fortunate enough to find this camp and get a last minute reservation. They generously upgraded us from the camp to the lodge. Once we were settled- our boys hiked a fantastic rock mountain hill behind the property while we lounged on our patio and looked at the most spectacular sunset across the desert. The room was clean, spacious, and comfy and the dinner was absolutely delicious. We were wined and dined like VIP guests in a gorgeous outdoor setting. The brothers who own this property have stories to share and were so helpful. I will thank them now because our family really enjoyed the special excursion/hike that they sent us on. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Thank you so much for sharing your history on this incredible property and what you used to do when you grew up there. We really really enjoyed our stay. A special space and we hope to be back!
