Set in Punta Mita, a few steps from Careyeros Beach, Hotel Basalto offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Basalto is a very beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are well laid out and the views on cliff edge are amazing. The spa was pleasant with the sound of the ocean. The food was fantastic. Giovani was great in helping us learn some Spanish while ordering food. We stayed here for two days and spent time at the rooftop pool and enjoying the views from our room.

This charming thatched villa is just 350 metres from the beach, in the fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. It offers lush tropical gardens with a pool, hot tub and tennis court. We were at Villa Magnolia a couple of years ago. The place looked better now and the grounds and pool were very nice. The staff is always friendly. Fabiola does a great job making us feel comfortable.

Great Villa, has 9 rooms and is big enough you feel like you are the only person there. Villa has a history to it and was designed by the original owner that recently passed away. It's a treat to spend days around the pool and using the facilities. Occasionally, iguana comes for a swim as well. You can borrow kayaks and head for the ocean. The water is very calm on this side of the bay. Communication with staff via email was great. 50 minutes walk to Bucerias .25 minutes the other way to marina and few restaurants and basic small grocery store.
