Assisted with the booking for the Yala National Park with an early morning pickup with a jeep. Welcoming teas and delicious cakes. Complimentary tour of the nearby lake and a sunset hike. Bird and bat watching. Clean room and bathroom Functional wifi

Located in Tangalle, 600 metres from Tangalle Beach, Grand Samudra Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The property was amazing. We truly enjoyed staying here. The views from the balcony were incredible and the pool with the ocean view was perfect for relaxing. Momo and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. There were tons of local places to eat around the hotel which was perfect for us. We loved experiencing authentic local food and local environments (pictured below). There is also a grocery store in walking distance as well. Great for a quick juice, snack, or toiletries. This hotel was great value and we would recommend staying here if you’re ok with being a tuk tuk ride away from a swimmable beach! We will forever remember the staff and kiki (the hotel dog) from our trip to sri lanka!! We were able to watch baby turtles find the ocean nearby and the staff even told us they would call if a turtle came to shore near the hotel.

Everything was clean and tidy and all amenities are provided. The business is owned by a family and they will treat you like you’re part of their family. Very supportive and caring owners. Situated in Tangalle, 200 metres from Tangalle Beach, Lagoon gate Tangalle Resort features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The room is very good and clean. And we can see the lagoon view from our room. And the food is very delicious and healthy. We can eat many Sri Lanka fruits in the every morning. And their garden also good. There are some vegetables and fruits in there. And animals and birds also. It’s was very comfortable. We can go to safari in uladawa and ride on the boat in the lagoon. Every staff is very kindly and anytime they can help us. Everything is very good . We are very enjoying and relaxing in this hotel. Thank you so much for everything. I want to stay there again.

Set in Netolpitiya, a few steps from Wella Odaya Beach, Blue Ocean Resort offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Aruni and the Blue Ocean resort team were amazing from start to finish. We booked the ocean view room and it was so stunning that we decided to stay for a month. During that month, we got help from Aruni with booking lagoon tours, setting up a trip to both the safari parks that were nearby and a lot of other things. Whenever we needed tuktuks she would go out of her way to arrange it for us. One time I had to take a sick stray dog to the vet and she arranged everything with the vet and tuktuk to take me there, she even fed him and now he is there often and it was very sweet and she really did not have to do that. I cannot recommend Blue Ocean enough to anyone thinking about staying here. The beach is quiet and huge, there is so much wildlife nearby and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Whenever we wanted to eat at the resort we would ask her in advance for some fish, lobsters and shrimp. On our last day they even had bbq which was very tasty. Thank you Blue Ocean team. We will definitely be back! And we already miss the two (now three haha) dogs Brownie, Emma and Cheese ball :D

Just over the lane from the beach. Very relaxing falling asleep to the waves. Lovely comfy bed. The restaurant is great!! Super yummy food, especially if you like seafood. Has just been renovated too so has a really nice atmosphere there. Staff went above and beyond. Thank you for a great stay!

Set in Yala, 1.6 km from Kirinda Beach, Wild Culture Yala offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us… helped us out when we were short for cash for our safari (!), let us check out late, extremely friendly and turns out the owner does a lot for animal protection and conservation of the park! Not to mention the amazing setting and pool area!

Situated in Tissamaharama, 2.3 km from Tissa Wewa, Elegant Lake House features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Such a great place, the sweetest family and Randy has so much love for his community, the animals and his garden. We loved staying here, and hope we will be back someday. The rooms are huge, spacious, bright and new, and so is the bathroom. The garden is so cute and a great place to relax. Randy took us on a biking trip where we saw birds, animals, plants, trees and a stuba/tempel, he has so much knowledge and gives so much to his guests. Before we left we had a tour in their fruit garden, that was so interesting. Thank you so much Randy and family. You are the best.
