Located in Fujikawaguchiko, 2.4 miles from Lake Kawaguchi, 7c villa and winery provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. this was my fifth time in japan and this is probably the best stay ive had. the property is newly built so it was immaculately clean (although no housekeeping, we were there for two nights). the staff is incredible, friendly and warm. the breakfast delivered to our room everyday was amazing. i recommend booking at least one dinner at the restaurant, the food and service were exceptional. the complimentary light meal was already good enough. they also have a store a couple of steps away from the hotel where they sell a lot of high quality souvenirs. the free winery tour and wine were a nice touch.

From the moment we arrived the hotel took our breath away even before we saw our room. I booked this hotel for my brother's birthday and the staff made this honestly a stay to remember. We used the bikes and went on a bike ride and we had an onsen in our room which was great as my brother has tattoos. The view from our room was beautiful! On the night of our meal our waitress asked to take a picture of us which she then had printed and framed and put on our table for breakfast which was such a lovely memorable touch!

We also appreciated a second chair that could be folded away, a window that opened, and comfy firm beds with two types of pillows. We enjoyed meals at the burger place and Yoshida udon casual restaurant at the mall at the train station, just a few minutes' walk away.

As before, on our first visit here, the staff was SO kind to us and our dog. The breakfast is amazing and there are so many things to do in this part of Yamanashi. From $254 per nightIn order to get to the villa, you have to go uphill so if you have big luggages, I’d definitely recommend reserving a taxi (ask the hotel to do so because you need a jp phone number to do so). Also, Yamanashi in general is not pedestrian friendly; barely any pedestrian sidewalks and tons of cars that you share the road with on walks.

Very good value for money. Great location, not far from station and Maizuru Castle. Clean, nice room with big windows, cosy shared kitchen. Air conditioner worked perfectly. We didn't meet staff in person, but during our stay they arranged a nice opportunity for hotel guests to buy delicious Yamanashi peaches for a good price.

The location was good! Walkable to nice surroundings. The room I got was spacious enough for a single person. The hotel also offers free shuttle bus services to/fro from Kawaguchiko station. Excellent staff who are helpful. The breakfast was super good! Especially love the Yamanashi peach jelly and mini apple pie.

I loved absolutely everything - except for the bed. The staff was wonderful, the location was unbeatable, and the dinner & breakfast were exceptional. Plus the onsen was incredibly relaxing and beautiful to be at. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. My only hesitation would be the mattresses. They are not comfortable and very thin, which isn't great when they are on the floor.

We chose this ryokan because itʻs the oldest continuously operated ryokan in Japan and the oldest hotel in the world. Itʻs no surprise that theyʻve been in business for so long because the service is exceptional as are the facilities, onsen and the exquisite food!! The ryokan is in the mountains with not much around, but itʻs ok because the point of going to a place like this is to stay on the property and enjoy the different hot springs, then relax to the sound of the river in your room. The meals alone were worth the price of our stay!
