Set 1.7 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring offers 4-star accommodation in Matsue and has a spa and wellness centre. Wonderful location and beautiful hotel. The lobby provides a first class impression that continues throughout with the rooms and hot springs. There's a late night noodle snack at the restaurant and treats at the hot springs. I speak no Japanese and was able to manage fine. Everyone was very kind in guiding me if I needed it. I would definitely stay here for more nights in the future.

The Centurion Hotel & Spa Classic Izumo is situated in Izumo, 6.1 km from Hamayama Park and 6.1 km from Masakigaoka Park. The rooms were spacious for myself and my adult son and young daughter. I loved that they provided pajamas - the staff were super friendly (although one of the staff members seemed to be irritated with me when I was trying to speak to him, but he later did apologize - the language barrier was perhaps frustrating for me to relay to him my proper concern and this must have frustrated him as he took my questioning as impatience on my part - he told me to "Just Wait!" in a very annoyed tone with me - I'm okay though as I realize I am not used to their ways and perhaps it is considered very rude to try to speak up when I think they are not hearing me properly. In any case, overall, the other staff members were perfect and extremely helpful to me. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was an run of the mill business hotel but what I really loved was the onsen. A great bath with outside space but most of all were the relax areas around - a nice patio area, a small manga reading area and 2 free massage chairs - all good places to relax outside of your room.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Oyado Tsukiyo no Usagi is set in Izumo, 2.6 km from Inasa Beach and 500 metres from Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo. The staff service was exceptional. This is definitely our favourite Ryokan. The bathing facilities are great, especially after long walks! Next time we are back in Izumo we will definitely book this hotel. Food is really good, for drinkers it's worth going for the unlimited deal.
