Special thanks to Mr. Taro, the general manager, who was actually physically present and working with the team! He was so elegant, kind, and very thoughtful and made our anniversary even more special:)! The dinning option was excellent and we really felt like we were well fed. We especially enjoyed dessert section. The hotel is very modern and so clean. The bed was large and very comfortable(not like most Japanese hotel beds which are small and firm.). Fukuoka
I had stayed in Unplan Tokyo about 7 years ago so had high expectations. This was such a lovely spot in Fukuoka, close to a station and a beautiful park walk. We also walked into the city a couple of times which wasn’t too far. The hostel has a great feel to it, very welcoming, helpful staff, lots of suggestions of places to visit and eat in the local area. There seemed to be a lot of options to meet up with other guests for solo travellers. My wife particularly enjoyed the cafe which served great earl grey tea.
Fukuoka
We found the check-in process a little bit confusing since it’s an unmanned hotel, but somehow we managed to get through it. Other than that, we had a great stay. The room was very spacious compared to Japanese hotel standard. It’s equipped with a kitchenette, a microwave, a pretty big refrigerator, a washer and a dryer even though the dryer took forever to dry our clothes:-). Everything was clean and the location could not be better. We won’t hesitate to stay in this place again if we go back to Fukuoka.
We have stayed at Hotel Clio Court Hakata a few times and always love it. This booking, there was only the larger newly renovated family room available. it was beautiful and huge! Probably close to 1000 square feet...it had a living room, a large bedroom with extra floor space for futon, a huge shower/furo style bath, lots of closet space and a massage chair. Comfortably can fit 4 people. Location was perfect, few steps away from Hakata station. We will always stay here when we visit Fukuoka.
I couldn’t find a single fault with Garden Hotel Nakasu Fukuoka. The location is excellent—within walking distance of a range of shopping options, from Don Quijote to high-end stores and walking distance to Nakasu Yatai area. Lots of food option! The rooms were fantastic, and the check-in and check-out process was incredibly efficient. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the bath, but I have no doubt it would have been lovely. Highly recommended!
Excellent location, right beside the main Hakata railway and some of the main routes around Fukuoka Rooms were quite comfy, nice desk and extra massage seat was very relaxing at the end of long days Rainfall shower and bathroom overall was clean and looked new Breakfasts were some of the best on the trip, a lot of choices of food from Japanese to Western and other Asian, and varied each day on many items Hotel layout was very nice, lobby was well run and all staff were polite and efficient
Dazaifu
the whole house is private use. we stayed here 4 ppl in total, one each ppl could sleep in one bed room. very spacious, very clean, modern Japanese house made us cozy and relax. enjoyed YouTube on big TV screen. unique construction of the house is like our secret base which made me excited! all facilities are pretty new, well-renovated! convenient store is just only few minutes walk away, Dazaifu temple is just around the corner. we will be back here again when we visit Fukuoka city!
The location is absolutely perfect - you're right in the middle of all the best vintage shops, coffee joints, and great food that Fukuoka has to offer. The entrance is super cute, too, and it's really nice to have a decent cafe just downstairs in your hotel. Pajamas are provided as well, and there's a lovely little sitting area in some rooms. I loved being able to borrow books, and the hotel very kindly shipped our luggage to our next destination with no fuss!
The hotel and the room are absolutely clean according to Japanese standard. Its location is also good, not so far from Tenjin station. Tenjin is a great area for food and shopping in Fukuoka city. Stay in Tenjin area is better than stay near Hakata station. You can take a taxi from the hotel to Fukuoka Airport with a cost of around 2,500 yen; it may be the cheapest city in Japan to take a cap from the city area to an international airport.
Our stay at Henn Na Hotel in Fukuoka was a blast! Checking in with robot dinosaurs at the front desk was such a unique experience—it felt like stepping into the future. The rooms were bigger than usual, spotless, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials. The location was ideal for sightseeing, with easy access to local transport and popular attractions. For anyone looking for a quirky yet comfortable stay, Henn Na Hotel is a must-try!
Ukiha
We loved our stay at Farolito. We stayed in the private twin room and our beds were the comfiest we stayed in during our month in Japan. The owners were also very welcoming and kind and the neighbourhood was peaceful and full of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend Farolito to anyone looking for a relaxing couple of days in a rural environment that is easily reachable from Yufu or Fukuoka by train.
This is my second time staying in Candeo Hotels Fukuoka Tenjin. It is in a perfect location if you like to shop in Tenjin. It is near lots of restaurants, and the famous local Yatai. The hotel has nice hot baths, both indoor and outdoor, and also a sauna. Very easy process for fast checkout too. Their breakfast is nice. Alternatively, a cafe next to the hotel building provides simple coffee and toast breakfast options.
The location was exceptional as it is within walking distance from Fukuoka station. The hotel lobby looks really luxurious and the staff is very nice and kind. They stored the luggage for me as I arrived before the check-in time. Also, when I am away on a short trip to Beppu before returning here, they also help store the luggage for me. I really like this hotel and I would love to come back here again for my Fukuoka trip
Location was ideal, just about 200 meters from Gion subway station (easy access to/from Fukuoka Airport), plus there is a Family Mart and Max Value within very close proximity. Walking to Hakata and Tenjin is also possible. The room was spacious (by Japanese standards)and very comfortable. I had a restful night here. The bed/mattress/pillows were just the right firmness, offering ideal comfort.
Location: Love it, slightly away walk from Hakata station. Environment: quiet, less crowded. Staff: always friendly and helpful Breakfast: choice between Japanese and western Bed: too soft for my liking but still not too bad Shower: love the water pressure, perfect. This is my second time returning back to this hotel. Never failed me.. will always be my choice of hotel when i am in Fukuoka
Outstanding location, easy WALK to the airport domestic terminal (12-15 mins). Great unique view of the airplanes landings/takeoff. NO noise at night from airport. Nice breakfast with both Asian and Western buffet. Metro at subway makes for easy access to the highlights of Fukuoka. Great staff, some English, very quiet hotel and guests. Exceeded my expectations !
The Tenjin location for the Breakfast Hotel in Fukuoka is smaller than Hakata--but it was cheaper. The rooms are tiny--perfect for one but a squeeze for two. But the best bit: Nomihodai! 500 yen for 4 hours--beer, highball, shōchū with 4 flavours of mixers. (think the deal ends at the end of August, but the regular price is still only 990 yen)
Everything is good , according to standard. The room is clean , but a little small like ordinary Japanese hotel. Breakfast is good , various dishes. The location is ok, 10minutes walk to JR Fukuoka Station and there is also shuttle bus daily running to the station, just inform at the reception counter.Overall is very good.
For our trips, we use Fukuoka as our base. We stayed at Oriental first for 2 nites, Kumamoto two nites, back to Oriental for 1 nite, then Yufuin 2nites and finally check in to oriental for 1 nite again. The hotel allows us to leave our big luggages behind as we want to travel light for our short trips from Fukuoka.
Kasuga
The place is very neat and tidy. The surrounding is very quiet, which is suitable for people who wish to enjoy tranquill life in Japan. Only 10 minutes walk to nearest JR station, and 2 stops away from Hakata. If you wish to look for a convenient and quiet place in Fukuoka, this would be a great place for you.
The rooms were spacious by Japanese standards and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. They provided amenities like facial cleanser and moisturiser, which is less common. Location wise, it is about a 7-10 mins walk to Hakata station and a 15 drive from Fukuoka Airport, very convenient.
