The staff was incredibly friendly and even upgraded my single room to a double for free! Lovely stay with great service and a wonderful breakfast!

It's wonderful to be so close to the city and at the same time have such a beautiful view. But you must have a car! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated.

Everything was perfect, it's a cosy small hotel in the very heart of Reykjavik, and I felt completely like home in my room. Also liked a cool bar downstairs, Reykjavik Mule is definitely a highlight there ;)

Nice location, cozy apartment, complimentary coffee, friendly staff. Will choose here again if I come back.

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes. Fantastic stay. Rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, the lobby/breakfast area was cozy (and lit up with candles for the dark December days), and the staff went above and beyond to help us out.

Great location and the staff where great. The food was amazing and the service was fab. The bar staaf very talkative and helpful. The room was fabulous and up to date.
