Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The hotel was really nice with modern and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also superb. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a room with lake view that was really nice. We did a road trip to East end of the Iceland and this was perfect place to stay on the east side.

Featuring a garden, Fjalladýrð Hotel is located in Modrudalur. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. At the hotel, each room includes a desk. Extraordinay hotel with fantastic design ideas. Especially great the record player for long-playing discs in the lounge. Charming is the mixture of guests (hotel, apartments, camping site). Very good restaurant but a little meagre breakfast (as often in Iceland).

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. amazing. also the restaurant is very recommended to visit

Hotel Aldan - The Post Office is 500 metres from the Smyril Line Ferry Terminal in Seydisfjördur. WiFi and parking are free. Beautiful location. Good breakfast but you have to pay for it separately the room was big and nicely decorated If you come, highly recommend the kiosk for a good drink and treat (added picture below-it is a separate place)

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great value for money! We stayed at their chalet which was pretty cosy. Arnor the owner was very friendly, showing us the facilities and gave useful tips for travelling. They have jacuzzi and sauna at extra cost, we used both facilities and it was very relaxing enjoying the jacuzzi while watching the snow falling. Breakfast was included and they were nice. Check out was smooth. Highly recommended.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was spacious. It's located conveniently at the town centre. The staff were polite and helpful. We got stuck in the eastern part of Iceland for a few days during a hurricane and had to move from one hotel to another in a hectic way. Herad - Berjaya was the best among the few we stayed in.

Set in Skjöldólfsstaðir, Hotel Studlagil offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, the rooms include a desk. Very comfortable stay. Proximity to Studlagil gorge and amazing staff. Hrafndis was a wonderful hostess.

Set in Eiðar, 49 km from Hengifoss, Eiðar - Hostel offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is non-smoking and is located 33 km from Gufufoss. It's clean and there was only one couple when we were there so we had the whole place for ourselves. Big kitchen, small rooms but very nice.

Hotel Eskifjörður is located in Eskifjörður. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Breakfast was good. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the food! The rooms were spacious and quiet. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us find a good restaurant on town. We recommend this hotel.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. Excellent, the staff amazing. They make a cake for my husband, so lovely.
