This was an amazing hotel! Perfect location for our needs, right in town and next door to a fantastic pub "The Squealing Pig" where our event was taking place and not far from our family gathering in Rockcorry. (BTW the Squealing Pig was very accomodating to our very Vegan daughter and her infant son); The staff at the hotel was pleasant and accomodating. The breakfast was fantastic with a full menu of options The town has a nice mall and shopping options; we had our laundry done down the street and back the same day if you get it there early. The Monaghan Museum was fantastic (they are moving to a new location down the street. The restaurants were great and we especially were impressed with 'Eastern Balti House' with the best service and great food!

Situated in Castleblayney, the recently renovated The Fairways, CastleBlayney provides accommodation 27 km from Proleek Dolmen and 27 km from Louth County Museum. Super value for money, warm welcome from the lovely host family, very comfortable beds, great shower, excellent breakfast, funny cats and lovely dog. Convenient location within walking distance along lake Muckno to the Main Street in Castleblaney with a selection of cafes, shops and bars. A 5min drive to the Restaurant “The View“ which has a stunning outlook over the lake and fantastic food. We would highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our stay very much!

They aimed to please, and they did…. Owner and cook. Great breakfast. The cook was also quite funny and entertaining. We enjoyed morning chats w/ her.

20 village square Glaslough is situated in Glaslough, 42 km from Maudabawn Cultural Centre, and features a terrace, garden, and free WiFi. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. This was perfect for our group of friends. Everything was clean and tidy and lots of space. Beds were extremely comfy. Will hopefully be back.

Lynster House in Monaghan has 5-star accommodation with a garden and barbecue facilities. great location not far from Monaghan town. very homely and welcoming. our host Liz was just fantastic. She’s a lovely person and has loads of knowledge of the local area.

The hostess was so kind and sweet and helpful! The room and bed were very cozy and clean and breakfast was perfect!
