Facing the beachfront, Erzsébet Nagy Szálloda offers 4-star accommodation in Paks and features a terrace, restaurant and bar. Lovely spacious room with large comfortable bed with beautifully monogrammed towels and pillowcases. Extra towels and dressing gowns provided for wellness rooms. Bathroom has lots of extra toiletries . Our room had trees shielding the window giving dappled shade. The hotel is set on the edge of the Danube so our room had a river view. The hotel has half board included in the price which included a three course meal(you pay for any drinks) .If more than 15 guests are booked in for the night there is a buffet. Breakfast was again a chance to order from a hot menu when less guests with plenty of things to choose from the cold buffet. The swimming pool is lovely.Parking in courtyard. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Duna Hotel is located in the centre of Paks and 700 metres away from the Danube River, offering a Finnish sauna, which can be used free of charge, and a 24-hour reception. Breakfast was fine. Location, less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station, and under a half hour walk to the football stadium, Paksi FC, the reason for my visit. Chap at reception wa very helpful with info on how to get to the stadium, and info about the 'village', as he called it.

The room is massive, actually it was more like a suite because the door opened into a kitchen area which contained a sink, stove, microwave and fridge. Next was the bedroom which led into the passage with the bathroom at the end. The bedroom has working air conditioning which is essential at this time of year.

Fried Castle Hotel and Restaurant in Simontornya, 40 km east of the famous Balaton Lake, is set amid vineyards and features an own winery, a French park, and outdoor pool, a children's playground and... The location was wonderful, the park of the hotel was stunning, our suite was very large, with a huge balcony. Our dog was happy to run in the beautiful park 😊 The breakfast and dinner buffet was good, and the hungarian beer very good 😊 We had a relaxing time.
