I really enjoyed staying at Electra Suites on my recent trip to Samothraki! I only got to stay for two nights but will definitely go back next time I visit the island. Stelios is a generous host and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good trip– in fact, on my first day, he actually drove me around the island himself so that I could visit the Sanctuary of the Great Gods and Chora! Even with the language barrier, we had a pleasant time conversing via Google Translate. The other staff at the hotel were friendly and made me feel at home. Overall, a lovely group of people to spend a long weekend with. I value peace & quiet when I travel, and so I appreciated staying somewhere without street traffic or restaurant sounds that was still close to the amenities. Stelios recommended a taverna with good food about a five minute walk from the restaurant, and I went back there several times. The name was Sta Kala Kathoumena and the walk takes you through the church's courtyard. If you can, I do recommend renting a car or a motorbike to get around the island– I came during the off-season and didn't realize how limited the public transit options were. I appreciated Stelios taking the time to drive me around, but I also knew he was busy running the hotel! The taxi stand on the waterfront is an easy walk- bring cash. I also spotted a scooter rental on the main drag. I have trouble sleeping, and felt very safe walking around Kamariotissa at night while trying to settle my thoughts. Stay aware of your surroundings and carry a flashlight for visibility, as there are few sidewalks in the side streets and you'll want to quickly get out of the way when people are driving through. Wherever you are in the village, you'll be able to see Mt. Saos or the sea. Rooms: The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. AB Apartments, a property with a garden, is situated in Samothráki, 400 metres from Archaeological Museum of Samothrace, 400 metres from Archaeological Museum, as well as 4.2 km from Folklore Museum... Great location, in a quite area. Very clean, very well managed. Walking distance to the archeological site and to a pebble beach just across the road. A neighbooring taverna proved practical for meals. An iron was provided asa I required it.

Boasting sea views, Boutique apartments Myesis features accommodation with patio, around less than 1 km from Archaeological Museum of Samothrace. I had a fabulous time at this property. Everything was exactly like in the photos less the beautiful sunsets for which you have to be there to see them in person. Pictures don't capture the beauty. From the location, right next to the sea and the Sanctuary if the Great Gods, to the facilities, the comfort and cleanness of the room, everything was exquisite. To top it all, the hosts, Yannis and Aris have made sure we had a wonderful time and feel like we have made really good friends. Very attentive to our needs, extremely helpful ( we had a flat tyre - they helped us get in the village center, get the tyre fixed), they made great recommendations on what to do on the island, great conversations - they truly are the perfect hosts and we thank them for a unforgetful experience. We are pretty sure will come back next year.
