I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. The room is absolutely lovely. They provided many extras. I had Prosecco and an IPA waiting for me when I arrived. The bed is fabulous. The shower was good water pressure and very warm. The linens were very plush and towels huge. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. I ate dinner there and had a wonderful dining experience. Andrew fixed me a bag of food items for the early departure since I would miss breakfast. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I would caution that if you’re a very light sleeper, there are some sounds that might wake you. The cars leaving might be the loudest but they are gone, but I was there when a very large dinner party was happening. I will definitely go there again. It was only a 10 minute drive (easy drive for an American) back to the car rental return. Then a bus to the airport.

Stayed here to catch an early morning flight from Bristol. Lovely location for woodland walks, a game of tennis, a swim, spa, decent food and coming back to an old English style comfy room.

Hotellet har en central beliggenhed i North Somerset, mindre end 20 minutter fra Bristol, Weston Super mare, Clevedon, Cheddar Caves og Wells. The property was lovely and comfortable and we had the best few nights of sleep in the super comfy bed. We also had a very tasty breakfast from the very friendly owner.

Det nyrenoverede Wassells House Accommodation ligger i Cheddar, 27 km fra Ashton Court og 28 km fra Bristol Temple Meads Station. I felt very safe it was a 18-20 min walk into town. I enjoyed the room. The bathrooms were wonderful! After traveling for 2 weeks with terrible bathrooms and even black mold in one, this updated bathroom was HEAVEN. 🚽🚿 The host, while not obligated, offered and helped me with my suitcase up and down the stairs. Small but HUGE when you're a solo traveler. The breakfast they offer for an extra charge (not a lot) was absolutely 💯 worth it. Best meal I had in Cheddar, and they proved gluten-free bread! 🙌🍞 As a solo traveler, I would 100% recommend staying at this location if you are visiting Cheddar.
