Barnoldswick has lots of privatley owned shops of different types plus lots of lovely little cafes . Tthe fountain on church street has some local beers and fantastic food . Barnoldswick is a perfect base to enjoy both the yorkshire dales and the Lancashire area.

We are in the middle of a valley.
We are in the middle of a valley. surrounded by green hills and many interesting walks. We are also very close to good shopping towns and only 20 miles north of Manchester which is a great city. Although we do get our fair share of inclement weather, when the sun shines it is very picturesque. we did have a textile museum very close by but with the cuts this has had to close. Sad but true a lot of amenities are being lost to us. However if you know where to look there is a great deal of history around this area and we are also not far from the Ribble Valley and Lancashire Witch Country. There are also plenty of mill shop outlets if you are looking for a bargain.

The apartment was very tastefully decorated, with a double bedroom at each end of the apartment. Maria, our host, was lovely. We had fresh blueberries out of her garden left in the kitchen to welcome us. Fresh bread, cereals, milk, tea, coffee, and biscuits. Perfect for our one night stay.❤️. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Lancashire. There is a designated parking space safely behind gates, too.👌

The staff is very friendly. We arrived early, 2 hours before check-in and the room was already ready. The hotel is very clean. The room was daily tidy and clean up. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) and to Preston city center. I recommend this hotel especially to parents who come to visit their children, students at UCLAN, as is our case.

Breakfast was great, I had the vegetarian breakfast and OH had Lancashire breakfast, the ingredients were good quality and plentiful. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
