Situated in Savonlinna, Cafe-Restaurant & Hotel Saima has a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. the breakfast was delicious and one had choices. we purchased a take away lunch (croissant sandwiches) and it was very good. the hosts were very attentive and truly delightful! we hope to come back to visit.

Dating back to the 1800s, this charming manor is found in the Finnish Lake District, 7 km from Mikkeli. It offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant rooms with garden views. Such an enchanting place ! Everything so special, super nice breakfast with natural ingredients. I think the best service I have ever gotten.

Bomila Resort features accommodation in Joroinen. With a terrace, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Breakfast is served at the Golfclub for additional charge. The restaurant is open 7-17, so do not expect to have dinner there. But they serve some beer and snacks till 21. The kitchen was good equipped so you can buy some food and have it in your cabin. There is no oven or dishwasher, but everything else you may need. The place is very new, they supposed to have 9 cabines, there are 5 right now. It is comfortable and new and a very nice view of the golf course.

Olo Center by Kolovesi Nature Park has a fitness centre, garden, a private beach area and shared lounge in Enonkoski. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. This is a magical place to unwind for a few days in the heart of nowhere. The pretty, old house is unassuming and calm, modest but elegant. The staff are charming and hospitable. Not a smart hotel but more of a relaxed lodge and for the right, relaxed person this is idyllic.

Set in Sulkava, 38 km from Savonlinna Train Station, Tiittalan Kartano offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The place is fantastic, a manor house near Sulkava on a huge estate. Reception was extremly friendly and helpful, room was huge, breakfast was great and made from lokal produce (when possible)

Set in an orthodox monastery by Lake Juojärvi, Valamon Luostari offers peaceful accommodation and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. Joensuu city centre is 55 minutes’ drive away. The staff was exceptionally kind and understanding. Excellent service.

Facing the beachfront, Woikoski Feeling - WHD Gård offers 4-star accommodation in Nurmaa and has a garden, private beach area and terrace. Nice, clean and surprisingly spacious rooms, delicious breakfast, a beutiful, very Finnish, scenery. Special applause for friendly staff.

Set in Ristiina, 12 km from Golf-Porrassalmi, Löydön Kartano offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities. It's a charming place altogether with seemingly many things to do during the Summer season. It's also a short driving distance to many hiking spots and local attractions.

Facing the beachfront, Sahanlahti Resort offers 3-star accommodation in Puumala and has a garden, private beach area and terrace. It was quiet with a nice back porch ! We enjoyed the breakfast and the ability to wander around the property even after checking out! The dinner at the restaurant was one of the best we ever have had —- and we have been around :). We enjoyed seeing all the rental options for our family for next time!
