Eurostars Las Claras is in central Salamanca, just 7 minutes’ walk from the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor Square. It offers bright rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a room upgrade to a fantastic room.

This converted convent is in the beautiful Duero Valley and has its own vineyard and a spa. The staff were excellent in attentiveness to service and friendlines to assist our poor Spanish.

Hotel Colón Plaza is an elegant hotel opposite Campo Grande Park in central Valladolid, 2 minutes’ walk from the high-speed train station. The Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral are a short walk away. I travel in Spain for work nearly continuously and have stayed in many hotels over the years.
