Set on the beach in Costa Rica’s Tortuguero National Park, El Icaco Tortuguero offer Caribbean Sea views from the common areas. You can observe the protected Green Turtle laying its eggs nearby. Nice hotel few steps from the ocean. Frontside cocktailbar with Oceanview. We liked the open way the building was, Galeries with rooms and open air in the middle. A little pool to cool off. Help from local staff at the debarkment to get to hotel and help to book excursions.

Cooper the manager was really knowledgable about the area and arranged all the best transportation and tours for us with the best guides! Its exactly what you need in a place like Tortuguero where the fun lies in the expeditions you take. Our breakfast was delicious and always ready right when we finished the morning tours which was really thoughtful and appreciated. Moreover, as a lesbian couple, we're always a bit weary of hotel staff when we travel but it was not the case here - everyone was so friendly and we would definitely qualify this hotel as LGBT-friendly :)

Good location and has a common area seats in front of the lake. The room we booked looks and feels new too. The room even has a fridge, not necessary but that was a good bonus.

Very close to the beach and national park. Short walk to town. Hammocks to rest in outside. Quiet at night. I could hear the sound of the waves. Ask for a map of the town because at first it’s a little confusing. I think mostly locals stay here. No AC but it wasn’t needed. My room had 3 beds and a fan for each bed. The proprietor used an app to translate his Spanish into English for me. I was very pleased with this place.
