If you want an authentic jungle experience, this is the place to go! Located in the middle of the jungle the accommodation is rather basic but extraordinarily charming. The hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and also very knowledgeable about the jungle. You can use the several trails they have prepared to hike on your own in the jungle or ask their help. The homemade food was tasty, nourishing and very reasonable priced. I'd come back any time.

Facing the beachfront, Ocean Forest Ecolodge offers 3-star accommodation in San Pedrillo and features a garden, private beach area and shared lounge. Idyllic location in the Osa rainforest, right next to the beach. It was a place to escape to, lovely cabins in the forest or overlooking the beach, with friendly staff and delicious light food. The mealtimes are communal so for this solo traveller it was great to chat to others at mealtimes. We all enjoyed them very much. A little piece of paradise. Will return.

The Jaguars Jungle Rainforest Lodge - All meals included features a garden, private beach area, a terrace and restaurant in San Pedrillo. It is a magical place to be with beautiful outdoors areas. It has three beaches to enjoy and relax. I was in the dorms and it was perfect! Really good deal. Meals are delicious! Super nice staff. I really enjoyed my stay there. Starting already from the boat ride from Sierpe! So beautiful

Cabinas Jimenez offers an outdoor pool and is located right by the beach of the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. Well, let me just say that this was the best lodging we've had, out of 8 places during 3 weeks in Costa Rica. The location is unbeatable, on a quiet seafront yet just a shot away from the center and the lively waterfront with great restaurants. The offer of free kayaks and bikes is also great, it really extends your local possibilities (without the bikes, we'd never discover the Platanares beach, probably the nicest one we've seen on the Pacific side). John and his family were super helpful, from advising the local attractions right to recommending the great Corcovado tour. And the room was great, with a comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and superb balcony overlooking the nice pool and the gulf. If you think of staying in or around Puerto Jiménez, this is the place to choose.

All in all, a highly recommended hotel. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and interested in ensuring that their guests are satisfied. Situated on the beachfront in La Palma, Terrazas del Golfo has a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The staff was very friendly, attentive and well organize.the facilities were very clean.

Situated in Puerto Jiménez, 700 metres from Playa Isidora, Kunken Boutique Hotel & Spa features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Immaculate property, beautiful view, right on the edge of the rainforest and the beach. The restaurant is excellent! All the food was fresh, creative, and well-prepared. The villas are spacious, extremely comfortable, pretty, and well-designed- no critters get in, and it is relatively cool at night despite no air con (there is a good fan). The villa had a mini-fridge which was helpful. We enjoyed top-notch birdwatching from our porch. The staff is great- the weather was unusually bad when we were here, and they went above and beyond to find tours for us to make the most of our stay.

Offering an outdoor pool, beautiful gardens and a bar-restaurant, LagunaVista Villas is located 200 metres from the beach by boat or kayak across the lagoon. Had such a lovely stay here. The perfect place to relax and view the incredible Osa peninsula. The pool was magic! The food was also delicious (and is included). We even had a little plunge pool. Staff all lovely.
