Joseph, Cristian, Manfred, Marianna and especially Daniel were all some of the best human beings that my girlfriend have ever experienced from a hotel staff. They go above and beyond with essentially every need of their guests, without question. Drinks and food are excellent, and the walk to the beach is roughly 3 minutes.

The rooms are modern, comfortable & clean, the whole property has got an exceptionally positive atmosphere - especially because of the clean & nice pool - the staff is very-very kind & helpful & the breakfast truly delicious and offers far more variety than any other hotel I’ve stayed at. Thank you to the general manager for all his help with organizing my airport shuttle & my excursion and to the chef for the tasty self-made pancakes & cookies.

Stunning hotel, great attention to detail with every aspect well thought through. Plenty of storage space in the rooms, gorgeous pool area, easy location shirt tuk tuk away from town but the thing that really made it was the lovely staff, everyone is extremely accomodating and happy to help. Special mention to the bartenders Yibran and Fabricio who were excellent. Also the owner Tim was lovely and made sure everyone was well looked after. Thankyou!

We loved everything about this property! The atmosphere, room, breakfast, we didn’t want to leave! A close walk to the beach. We will definitely go back again!

Beachfront property located in Puerto Viejo. Estblishment set 40 m away from the beach., less than 1 km from Chiquita Beach. Jaguar Rescue Center is 2.7 km from the accommodation. Loved everything about our stay here. Upon arrival, made to feel super special and the hotel location is so spectacular, getting the best of both worlds in the jungle & on the beach. We spotted so much wildlife here, sloths every day, green parrots, toucans & howler monkeys to name a few! Room is finished to a beautiful standard, quite modern but still in keeping with its surroundings. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main hotel building and didn’t have the problem mentioned by some other guests with no bathroom door. The toilet & shower are still separate, it’s just the sink that is in the bedroom itself, which didn’t bother us. Food is a little on the expensive side, but so worth it. We had the 3 course dinner down on the beach twice and the standard was the same both times. Special mention to our waiter Ricardo who did a fantastic job with his excellent service. Also, special mention to Dinnier who served us at breakfast on a couple of occasions and Walter who helped us spot lots of amazing wildlife! The staff here are incredible and do make an extra special effort to learn your names and make you feel so at home.

Situated in Puerto Viejo, 1.9 km from Negra Beach, La Tica y La Gata features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The grounds are lovely and I especially liked the pool and the verandah. Room was perfect. When I ran into some problems the owner and her daughter went out of their way to help me, for which I’m very grateful.

This place is an exceptional and unique experience. The staff is highly professional and hospitable, the area is insanely beautiful. There is only one restaurant which I expected to be mediocre because of the lack of competition. Oh how wrong I was. All the food was gourmet and of exceptional quality, price wise it wasn’t cheap, but it was great value for what you get.
