Located at the summit of Mount Pilatus at 2,132 metres above sea level, the Hotel Bellevue is reachable by aerial tramway or the world's steepest cog railway in summer. I went in Oct and trip advisor suggested I was taking a risk as weather could be bad. I wanted to experience being above the clouds and or view of town from the mountain. I took the risk and it totally paid off. The view of mountain peaks sticking up in blanket of clouds was amazing. Although, you can do a day trip but you would miss the sunrise and sunset experience from the top. The dinner as well as the view from my room was amazing as well.

Staff more than friendly, we feel at home!!! Very nice breakfast, lots of home made marmelades, very close to a bus stop that gives directly to the city town! Room/bathroom are very clean, courtesy apple/water/coffe. Every other time at Lucerne we will stay at this property!

Hotel molt ben situat per visitar Lucerna. Es troba al centre, a 1 minut del llac i a 9 minuts de l’estació de tren. El restaurant de l’hotel ofereix, a més de la carta, una sèrie de plats del dia molt bons i amb una gran relació qualitat-preu. L’esmorzar, servit al mateix restaurant, és molt complet i variat (em va agradar especialment la selecció de formatges suïssos i que hi hagués molta fruita fresca i pans diferents). A més, vam tenir un petit problema de salut i els de l’hotel es van adaptar i ens van ajudar moltíssim.

The view from my balcony was spectacular!!! The room itself was also nice and exceptionally clean. The bed was also really comfortable. There is a big terrace with the same wonderful view. The young woman at the desk in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff who checked us in were so friendly and helpful, booked dinner at restaurant for us, translated the menu, Our corner room had a superb view of the lake and book landing. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in an awesome area that looked out over the lake and was gorgeous. The out door seating for the restaurant was great. Surrounded by lovely areas to walk. Again the staff were some of the most helpful and friendly of out trip. It was just yard from the boat dock and Mt Rigi cogwheel train. Great breakfast variety and menu for dinner.

I loved everything. The view was exceptional, like on a postcard, the breakfast was fantastic. The location was spot on. There is parking right next to the hotel. Do yourself a favour and have dinner at the restaurant. Watch the swans and the boats passing by.. This is truly a unique and beautiful setting. Watch the full moon rising over the mountain. 200m away from the boat docking for passenger boats. We stayed for 3 nights and booked for an additional 2 nights. That says it all doesnt it?

The hotel is such an antique ( a heritage) it is an experience to stay there cuz simply you feel as if you time traveled like a 100 years back. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. the food is super (by far the best dinner we had in Switzerland) I am sure chef is not just a cook he is an artist. the view is stunning and the queen Victoria room is amazing. Shuttle takes us from and to the train station if needed and parking is available
