The Hotel Rosengärtli is ideally situated, being just 3 or 4 miles from Interlaken and overlooking Lake Thun. It's a small hotel with just four bedrooms and a single suite. Our double, en suite room was small but very well equipped and it had a pleasant balcony too (which was ideal for supping a glass of wine or two after some long hikes around Lauterbrunnen). The 'continental' breakfasts are superb, served on a three tier stand (similar to afternoon teas in the UK) and we had a very tasty evening meal at the hotel too.

Amazing location by the lake Thun with scenic views of the majestic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Central to the arterial city road, good connection with the main city sights and a 5-10 minutes' walk to Lake Thun. Beautiful rooms and the restaurant offered an amazing selection of dishes. The blueberry and lemon ravioli was fabulous-like a bite of summer! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Massive thanks to the Schönbühl Hotel & Restaurant team for making my stay comfortable and lovely.

A large apartment, very warm, with a lot of deposit spaces and all the facilities, at a fair price. An amazing view to lake Thun and snowy peaks. Private parking in front of the house. Private entrance. House is in a quiet area, 5 minutes driving from Thun, a lovely town, with two picturesque castles. Good communication with our host, although only by whatsapp. Sometimes, minor problems with hot water, maybe due to heating programme, but not disturbing.

Margret and Adrian were fantastic hosts and they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The views of lake Thun and the surrounding mountains are absolutely stunning. There are a few great attractions very close by but if you plan a longer stay, be prepared for a little bit of driving - it takes about 25 minutes to get to the city of Interlaken. Highly recommend!!!

The location of the hotel right on Lake Thun was spectacular and the areas for dining or enjoying a pre-dinner drink overlooking the lake was a wonderful plus. The grounds are beautifully cared for with gorgeous flowers and palm trees. The food was extremely good, the spa facilities were top-rate and the gracious staff made our stay such a pleasure. A special thank you to the staff for our surprise at dinner on our 50th wedding anniversary!

Spa area was better than expected. Very friendly and kind staff. The views from hotel of Lake Thun are great. Relaxing stay. A 15 minute walk to Speiz Station. Hotel provides free shuttle service to and from local train station on day of arrival and departure. Free coffee and cake during the stay. It is 20minutes on the train to Interlaken. Would recommend this place to stay. Also a great base to visit other areas.

Lieve and her husband were wonderful hosts, gave us a tour of the property going through all the necessary information. The apartment is in quiet neighborhood with private parking space. The apartment is very well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. The host as setup the apartment with utmost thoughts and details. The views from the apartment's balcony is amazing over looking lake Thun.

Hotel is close to the station helpful if you arrive by train. Fantastic view from the terrace overlooking Spiez and Lake Thun where breakfast was served or you could dine in the evening. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and served by helpful friendly staff, the staff were really nice at this hotel ! shops and supermarket right beside the hotel which was very convenient.

Really good! They provided a lot for us 5 people, 4 beds and 1 sofa, one of which is wide and suitable for 2 people. The toilet is really clean. Additionally, there are free coffee, hot water, and microwave in the minus first floor. It’s just next to the Lake Thunersee, really good view! And they also provided free parking! This parking is just next to the hotel.

Wonderful sumptuous breakfast buffet. A beautiful location right on the harbor. A big, beautiful historic castle and chapel just across the road and sitting high above the hotel with gorgeous views of Lake Thun. Easy stroll to the dock to board a cruise on Lake Thun. Lovely room, kind and helpful staff, delicious dinner in the restaurant on site.

The best organic breakfasts I've ever had during my visits to 29 countries. Every item for the breakfast was fresh and delicious. No single item on the menu was worth trying. The host offered me a special daal curry for breakfast. The location from Interlaken West railway station was a 20-minute bus ride with a breathtaking view of the lake Thun.

- Beautiful view of Lake Thun from the balcony. - Apartment was amazing with most of the basic facilities available; on two floors. - Washroom was also nice and clean. - Free pass from hotel for commuting to & from Interlaken on bus (20 minutes drive). Bus stop right next to hotel. - Hotel had badminton, table tennis and other facilities.

Very lovely staff, the wonderful garden with a fantastic view of Lake Thun. My wife and I had invited two professional photographers to the Castle for photo and video shooting of our wedding. The staff was very kind to us letting us use every single corner of the hotel, and even moving things around to find better spots. A big thank you to them!

Fantastic view of the mountains and Lake Thun. It was quiet. The apartment was large with comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well stocked. The apartment had everything you need. But the view was the best thing. A garage is available under the apartments. There are hiking trails nearby and a bus that can pick you up from your hike.

Perfect location to stay up to 4 people for visiting Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken. Apartment has everything you need for great vacation- all kitchen and bath utensils, nice balcony for breakfast. Swimming pool on territory, 2 minutes walk lake Thune with private beach. Super comfortable beds. We Absolutely liked the property.

Location and Ambience. However, we are disappointed that there was no lake view from the room. Booking .com description was bit deceiving stating that "Overlooking Lake Thun" and we expected rooms with lake view. Bottom line - Don't expect lake view from the room but only while dining and walking around the hotel.

The main attraction of this place were the views. The hotel itself has balconies and an outdoor restaurant that hosted spectacular views of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains. Additionally, the room was very comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly, and there was a free breakfast, all for a reasonable price!

Location is one of the best you can get if you want to experience rural Switzerland. View to lake Thun is really beautiful, one time we saw a huge raibow over the lake, garden is amazing and apartment is very clean and welcoming. The host is also really nice and oferring to help with anything that you would need.

The best hotel we chose on our 15 Days in Switzerland holiday. Best breakfast and very friendly staff serving us with hot coffee every morning Bus stop right at the door step with Lake Brienz and Lake Thun cruise next to it. Highly recommended if you travel to Grindlewald, Lauterbrunnen via Interlaken.

Maya was an amazing host. They had amazing breakfast. Maya also recommended us local hiking spots we wouldn't be able to find otherwise. The stay is in a scenic spot overlooking Lake Thun. A cosy place. Perfect location away from the business with access to all the lovely places in Switzerland.
