Its a very basic but clean place to stay in a safe and friendly neighbourhood. The staff were very helpful and were very quick in replying to my questions before my visit. Breakfast which was served in another property, located about 20 metres away, was tasty and they also had a lovely bar where you could sit on the terrace and watch the world go by. It's a 20usd taxi ride from the airport and is very good value for money.

I had a great stay at Kangaroo Hotel. The bed was very comfortable with a big mosquito net, the WiFi was good, and buffet breakfast was nice and big, and I had lots of hot water for showers. Nicky at reception spoke very good English and was really helpful. The location is just a two minute walk from the main market, which is fun to visit. There are lots of taxis nearby to take you around Bujumbura. Highly recommend!

The hotel is excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Exceptional facilities with well maintained gardens and pool area. Breakfast was really good too. There's plenty of bars and restaurants within walking diatance and a little supermarket just across the road. Note at the time of writing the lake had flooded so beach areas and most of the beach bars are closed but there is one still standing where you can enjoy the sunset. A special shout out to DESIRE on reception who went out of his way to help me, even after I had checked out of the hotel!

Hotel Club du Lac Tanganyika is located in a wide park that ends up on a marvelous beach on the banks of the Lake Tanganyika. The pool was just amazing, one of the best I ever saw in hotel, semi Olympic perfect for good swimmers. Rooms are huge, well equipped. The staff is great. Good restaurants with amazing fish. All in great scenery, at the lake, beautiful garden and trees. Probably best place in Burundi.
