This modern hotel is located in the Panamanian city of David, just 3 minutes’ walk from Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Park. It offers a fitness centre, a sauna and an outdoor pool. Very much deserves its 4 stars, they're really on top of it. Friendly and professional staff, impeccably clean. We were lucky and got upgraded to a larger room, which was very spacious, but I think the regular rooms are fairly large as well. Full bar and a restaurant with a very decent menu. Located right in the center of David close to everything you need. Nice views, too. There's also a pool and a gym, though we didn't use those. Prices are absolutely fair for what you get.

A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Las Lajas, Magic Mountain Lodge is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the garden. There aren't enough superlatives to describe how wonderful our stay at Magic Mountain Lodge was. It was beyond our expectiations from the greeting by Uta to the delightful grounds and our amazing room. How could any visitor give a score other than 10 for excellence! If you are travelling in Panama you would do well to arrange your trip around staying at Magic Mountain Lodge. My wife and I as well as our two large dogs will certainly return. OH, and the breakfast is worth the stay alone. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend staying here.

Cabanas Rio Encantado features a year-round outdoor pool and rancho with terrace, it is strategically placed in Caldera which is between David and Boquete, a total of 24 km from David, The cottages... It's hard to know where to start. This is without doubt one of the best places I've ever stayed. The highlight being our conversations with Frank (the owner). He is the real life Indiana Jones and took an afternoon out of his spare time to show me and my two sons around the property. We went swimming with him up river and over his bridge to the jungle. He told us stories which can fill a lifetime. I feel.honored to have spent time with him, an absolute living legend. He taught my boys life lessons I could only dream of plus he found a Fer de Lance snake on his grass as be was talking to us which my son's thought was incredible. Now when my sons show a weakness about not wanting to help out around the house or do any work, I ask them "what would Frank do?" This makes them get right to it. The pool is great, the cabins superb and the place is so brilliantly created with nature surrounding it that you will be stumbling over huge cane toads at night and snakes during the day. Listen to Frank, don't wear flip flops! Come for the views and the river, stay for Frank.

Set in Las Lajas in the Chiriqui region, Residence Las Lajas features a garden. The place is very well located with a beautiful mountain view. The rooms were clean, luminous and very comfortable. The swimming pool is like in the pictures!!! 100% enjoyable! Extra bonus... You can also enjoy the beach.... It's only 15 minutes away.

Providing garden views, Naturalmente Boutique Bungalows y Cocina Mediterránea in Las Lajas provides accommodation, water sports facilities, a garden and a bar. The food was incredible. You can tell Chantal puts a lot of love into meals. Very high quality. She is also super friendly and welcoming. Our cabin was very cute and cozy. 10/10!

The Inn at Palo Alto is a quaint property located over Palo Alto River, 3 km from the city centre. It offers a free daily breakfast buffet and free WiFi. Fantastic views on the green hils and mountains from the whirlpoo. Beautiful garden and lovely breakfast - again with sectacular views.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Seagull Cove Resort is located in Boca Chica. It boasts free breakfast and incredible views of the bay. Free Wi-Fi access is available. This place really was one of the highlights of our trip through Panama! It was one of those hotels where you could feel people are doing it with their heart and truly care about making their guests an amazing time. The owner greets you personally, he was always there if we needed something, brought us fresh coconuts from the tree and tropical fruit to try. The staff was super friendly and quick. The food was very good, we loved the breakfast and dinners we had. You also have local coffee and tea in the room which is such a nice gesture. We also got lunches to go for our day trips, in a cooler with ice. The view is also great and we saw so many monkeys and birds and iguanas. Definitely recommend!
