Well located in Kandy, Villa Olde Ceylon is a recently renovated guest house, which provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and free private parking. Wonderful hosts, great accommodation and delicious breakfast. The pool was a very welcome relief after a hot day too. The quality of the decor was the best we saw in Sri Lanka with lovely art everywhere you look. Very highly recommended!

Overall, it’s a perfect combination of excellent service, quality rooms, and amazing food. Highly recommended!

Located in Kandy, 3 km from Kandy railway station, The Castle by Don Louis provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The staff were super friendly and the owners made a point to talk to us and make sure we were comfortable. The hotel was the most comfortable of all the places we stayed at. Also a shout out to Vishwa for getting us to the airport against all odds :) he also has great recommendations for Kandy. We will definitely be visiting again for our next trip to Sri Lanka.

Set in Sigiriya, 3.7 km from Sigiriya Rock, The Cottage Sigiriya offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Honestly this hotel was where I was at most peaceful, I think people don’t know about it much so it feels like it’s just you in the jungle. Which is exactly what I prefer. The pool was very clean. There were a few ants in the room but honestly we are in the middle of a jungle so there’s bound to be a few ants anyway. The staff is extremely extremely hospitable. They do not try to cheat you in anyway (mentioning cuz the other hotel I stayed at did). But the staff at Cottage Sigiriya was the best. Do not think twice definitely book this place.
