Everything, starting from the friendly atmosphere of a family run hotel with many facilities and activities for the guests. We lived in a wonderful apartment: clean, well furnished, ample and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen facilities that were available and exploited instead the very attractive and satisfactory meal options provided by the structure itself. In a word, we have been coddled for the whole length of our stay. Should we come back to lake Toba (which we hope) this will be the first address to look for.

Offering direct access to Toba Lake, Toba Village Inn is set amidst a natural landscape. It boasts an outdoor pool with stunning views of the lake and Pusuk Buhit Mountain. The view was exceptionally stunning. Price is affordable and the room spacious, clean. Very helpful staff.

Relaxing and calm environment to unwind. Clean comfortable beds, friendly staff. Met all the expectations you would expect from a 5* resort.

Thyesza Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Ambarita. With free WiFi, this 2-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. Had a very good time here, is a bit outside the city and less busy. Rooms were cheap, food was good, also inexpensive. I rented a motor-bike from them for low-speed island scouting, also cheap. Isac helped us a lot & in depth with travel arrangements, Everybody else was also very kind, as is the whole island. Generally, the worst thing that can happen in Sumatra, is that people will be upset with themselves after a language misunderstanding. How anyone would be angry with people so genuinely nice all the time, I don't know ;-)

Located 3 metres from Lake Toba, Mas Cottages features traditional Bataknese-style exteriors with simply furnished rooms. Good location, beautiful views, kind and helpfull staff.
