The stay at Battery Valley Farm was excellent. It was a unique experience for us. It is an active farm located not far from the town of Albert. The place offers cozy and pleasant rooms and a breakfast that includes farm-fresh ingredients. We arrived with only one day to visit the monuments and museums dedicated to the Battle of the Somme and were quite confused about how to plan our day. We received a lot of help from Mireille, the owner, who is a great expert in tourism in the area. Mireille presented us with the available options and helped us organize our visit. The place is very easy to find and location is very close to the train station and most places. Safe place for solo travellers and the host was very helpful. Clean room with necessary amenities and a coffee maker. My train was at 6AM and I had heavy bags and couldnt get a taxi at that time and host host very kindly gave a ride to the train station. Upon arrival they give you a city map and explain the easiest routes to get there which is helpful.
