Very lovely apartment and well located. The host was the best! No hassle and a truly helpful and genuine individual.

Splendid breakfast, great choice including perfect scrambled eggs and bacon each morning! Excellent dinner and perfect accompanying wine choice. The room was perfect and with a great view overlooking the confluence of the two rivers. Spacious and with a separate lounge if required. The staff , Juan , the chef, and the owners could not be more hospitable and made us feel like 'one of the family' . Excellent quiet position with aasy access to paths to walk the dog and a short drive to the railway station.

Quinta da Laceira - Douro Valley - Alojamento Local is a recently renovated holiday home in Vila Real, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. Beautiful place with breathtaking view! The owners are really warm, warm people. I recommend to try porto wine which is amazing! The Villa is big, enough space for even group of ten. Great big kitchen with massive supplies, neverending wood for fireplace and pool for Hortex days. Perfect place to stay!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, Casa da Tapada is located in Torre de Moncorvo. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. A lovely house, beautifully presented. Modern and stylish inside with every mod con you could wish for. Rooms large and spacious and spotlessly clean. Garden quite large with one of those above ground pools on legs - quite adequate, and the water was clean and refreshing. The front door is a bit irritating as it locks itself if the wind blows the wrong way, which happened to me whilst I was in the pool. It could have been a bit of a disaster as I had nothing with me other than my swimming costume! Fortunately the old lady next door (who seemed very friendly and charming - but we couldn't really communicate as my Portuguese is negligible) has a spare key to the back door so was able to let me in. Internet excellent and fast. A very peaceful place in a small village high up in the mountains. A great place to unwind and escape the bustle of life. I had a great time there and would happily return.

Boasting an infinity pool and views of pool, Quinta do Monte Travesso - Country Houses & Winery is a guest house set in a historic building in Tabuaço, 25 km from Douro Museum. The whole property is just beautifull. So well mainteined and the interior of the room was very cozy and well thought. The private pool & yard for our kid to play was just awesome. And the VIEWS! You just can't get enough of it! We took the wine tour and it was really good, also very tasty wines. Had to buy couple bottles. Staff very friendly, and discreet.
