The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

The room was nice, with a balcony, although there was a small bathroom, it was everything we needed. They remove the rubbish so that was nice. It had a mosquito net and a fan. The host was very nice, he offered to meet us at the dock.

One of the best places to stay in Lamu, with an amazing terrace in a spectacular house. There are a lot of good and not expensive restaurants around. The owner of the house did all to make it more than comfortable, arranged a pick up from the airport, gave me a free upgrade of the room, asked every day if I need or wish something, helped to find a amazing boat tour and enable to stay in the house a few hours longer.
