Location amazing, very 1950’s vibe and excellent for relaxing with family with adult children. ski on ski out was great and field excellent for beginners/ intermediate skiers with no queues as at far end of the Shiga fields. Staff professional and friendly. loved our 5 nights.

Uotoshi Ryokan is set in the Yudanaka Onsen district of Yamanouchi, 10 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, 22 km from Suzaka City Zoo and 28 km from Zenkoji Temple. Authentic old school Japanese experience. The manager is a Kyudo sensei, and we were able to watch the archers competing in the Kyudojo behind the ryokan. Rooms are basic but comfortable.
