Situated in Ōkuki, 15 km from Konakano Station, 潮ドミ マリンキ 冬は薪ストーブ we have no AC features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I think this might be the best place I've stayed in Japan. Log burning fire, hosts that bend over backwards to welcome you and they picked me up and dropped me off from Oja station. Brilliant pre stay communication. Excellent facilities.

Five generations of ancestors above the shrine. I experienced a memento mori. Each generation grows with the daily reflection knowing one day it will be their turn to be venerated. Plus it snowed perfectly on time. A grand country home. Perfect for entertaining. Enormous library and teapot collection. My favourite thing was the “ persimmon pickers” at the door. And the persimmon were delicious.

Offering a garden and garden view, Hoshino Oka in Owani is situated in Ōwani, 48 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 21 km from Hirosaki Castle. The vacation home owner was very friendly, and the overall equipment and amenities were quite complete. In the evenings, we happily played with fireworks.

The room was very nice and cosy, clean, had a nice view to watch the snow falling and to wake up with the natural light. The location is spectacular, the staff was very helpful and patient, the dinner was really nice and had apple mochi.
