Featuring a terrace with pool views, an infinity pool and a garden, Rumah Dharma can be found in Borobudur, close to Borobudur Temple and 40 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station. That it is right in the middle of rice-fields. One may stay here just to relax and live /relive a relaxed village life. The homestay is gorgeous with Buddha statues and other statues, cobbled paths. Sit on the benches and see an old man guiding his flock of very disciplined ducks from the fields to back home; small boys flying kites; wake up to the sound of birds and go to sleep to the sound of either frogs/ lizards(could not make out what was it😄). Cycle the nearby villages with green fields on either side; locals cheerfully wishing you; you can cycle to Borobodur too / walk to the placs. cycles are provided by Rumah Dharma. They also arrange tickets for you for Borobodur. Do remember climbing the temple is not open on Mondays. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms even more spacious. The staff is very welcoming. You enjoy local food. They arranged a very good driver/car for airport pickup/dropoff; visit to Prambanan and Mount Merapi. What I also enjoyed is unlike hotels, all the guests were sitting in the open areas, playing board games, chatting with other guests. We absolutely loved our stay here. A warm shoutout to the staff who were excellent!

Situated on the hill slope of Karimunjawa, Ayu Hotel Karimunjawa offers an accommodation with a blend of modern and traditional Javanese designs. Free WiFi access is available. Immediately I was greeted by the host Marco. Wonderful host , always asking if I want coffee or tea. One day he brought fruit and cookies. The bungalow was spacious, clean with real fluffy towels. Outside toilet and shower were very cool and hot water !! Breakfast was outstanding , something g different every morning Seafood for breakfast was great. Free water and just was a hood information provider and ensures his guests happiness. Birds , cats, peace and quiet. I would definitely come back

Staff were on hand and very friendly. Nice and secluded location away from the busy streets next to Borobudur Temple. Bicycles to use free of charge. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Clean and modern feel.

Boasting sea views, Villa Tengkek Karimunjawa features accommodation with a private beach area, a garden and barbecue facilities, around a few steps from Bunga Jabe Beach. What a phenomenal place Our stay at Villa Tengkek felt like a once in a lifetime experience. The villa and the surrounding garden, right by the sea, looked just like, if not more beautiful than the photos. We were truly blown away by everything. Having breakfast and relaxing on the big terrace were one of our favorite parts about staying here. The thing that probably sets Villa Tengkek apart from so many other places though, is its exclusivity. No other guests staying in bungalows or villas next to yours, which makes it so easy to find peace and relaxation after long days of exploring this beautiful island. Stephane and his staff are fantastic and made our lifes easier in so many ways. Masturi helped us with the transportation, arranging tours, food, always being there when we had questions of any kind.  Next time, we'll certainly stay longer :)

With mountain views, Arrys Watukarung Surfcamp is set in Kalak and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, outdoor fireplace and picnic area. It is right near the surf, right in the middle of a really peaceful village. I didn’t even have to ask for a meal, win was already organising the best meals before I could even think. Cold bintangs. Arrys organised fishing trips filmed me surfing for about 4 hours!!! Incredible place to stay I love it
