I’m from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and this is one of the best guesthouses in the world! We booked initially 2 nights and extended one more. Abu and his family are amazing hosts, the place is lovely, breakfast yummy and the location, Elephantine Island is an oasis of peace in the Nile. They have their own boat to pick us up and we also did visit the Nubian village with this boat, unforgettable experience! We even booked our 2 nights Nile cruise to Louxor with Abu for such a good price! We will come back here and stay one week next time.

I had the best stay with my husband and our daughter of 2,5 years old. The location is idyllic next to the Nile and the room is very comfortable. Amr and his staff are so friendly and do everything to make you feel at home. Make sure that you have dinner there, because the food is the best we had in Egypt! Thank you for our wonderful stay! We would absolutely recommend!

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Artika Wadi Kiki Hotel features accommodation with ski-to-door access and free WiFi. Everything was fantastic. The food, the service, the short day trips, the view, the peaceful surroundings. Pedro was also a fabulous guide/host, very responsive and helpful. We could have stayed there 3 days. It is such a wonderful place.

It is a nice intimate place in the beautiful island of Elephantine. The room was spotlessly clean, which was great relief after being disappointed by different hostels in Cairo. We enjoyed the short walks on the island, where we met a lot of welcoming local families, away from the hustle of downtown. We also enjoyed the beautiful little terrace and garden in front of the room, and the good dishes made by Kafana and his crew. They were all extremely nice and respectful, besides being a great company and fun to be around. We felt we were among friends. Kafana himself is very accommodating and went out of his way to get us to our train on time. Very thankful for this experience and will surely visit again.

Everything, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the hotel was outstanding. The place looks beautiful, the beds are very comfortable, everything was immaculately cleaned, the food was delicious and the view of the nile was stunning. The staff were helpful and are not out to short change you. They have their own boat and we got a better rate than we would have from haggling, they also have their own pier so you don't need to deal with the chaos at the marina. This is like a little paradise in the chaos of egypt. You would be a fool not to book your stay here.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Nubian Kingdom Aragheed House is situated in Aswan, 7.8 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum and 25 km from Kitchener's Island. We had an amazing stay with Basam, Ahmad, Karim, Abdou and their family. They were extremely open and friendly and gave us some insights into the Nubian culture. We would come back anytime! Also the public ferry for 5 EGP is really close to the Guest House and from the other side it’s only a five minute walk to the train station. Perfect location and beautiful view from the nice rooftop terrace!
