It is boutique hotel with a decor which is nice and different. The staff is very nice - young people working on the front desk. Elias in particular was very helpful, courteous and engaging. The hotel is not smack in the center of Bishkek - but the opera house and the market is walkable (and for rest you can just use a taxi app). The breakfast is quite good. The toiletries are of good quality and so is the bedding/towels. Shower hot is hot and good force.
One of the guests ended up smoking (the hotel is non-smoking) and the hotel staff handled him admirably! I would recommend that the staff tell guests explicitly when they check-in (they do have non-smoking signs in the room).

Super helpful staff, great location, and a thoughtful design make this a remarkable hostel. As an older traveler I prefer a bit more privacy so I booked a private room. Sharing a bath is no problem, an efficient use of space, and definitely the cleanest toilets in Kyrgyzstan!
