Great rural location. Accommodation is well equpped. Garden is a green oasis. Best accessed by car but can take bus from Loberia and ask bus driver to stop outside Greenhouse Lodge. Ana the host is very helpful. As we didnt have a car, she arranged for a taxi to take us to the local hot springs and also to Upala bus station so that we could then catch bus to La Fortuna.

The genuine kindness of our hosts was really moving.... Letting us taste different types of juices...helping us to plan our visit to the volcano areas and helping our son who had a skinburn on his arms. The lodge itself is very authentic. The garden benefits from more than 40 years of carefully maintenance with lots of love..with flowers and trees you think you find yourself in a botanical garden. Hummingbirds are flying around your head during breakfast. And finally...the food was gorgeous...homegrown vegetables and fruits and produces such as ricotta cheese..very royal quantities...your own grand mother would not have spoiled you so well. Beautiful chalet, secluded enough to see monkeys and beautiful birds but close enough to town and to Parque Volcan Tenorio to make it convenient. Hosts were very kind and clearly willing to work on any single detail to make the stay enjoyable (a bottle of rose as a gift upon arrival, games for kids, a full well equipped kitchen... nothing was missing). I highly recommend the place.

All around nice. In general, the staff very nice and helpful except for one incident (which for me and my safety very important) the person from the ranch said that the access road is not a problem (I wanted to leave the car in a safe place) on the second day we wanted to leave the ranch and because of the flooded road was not possible, if you have nice weather you can manage, because as not (as we did), first you have a problem with access and above all with leaving. (Take into account that insurance is unlikely to cover extreme rides). Because when it's rainy you can't see the road is flooded by the surrounding river.

Our room was nice and clean. The people working at the hotel were very nice and very friendly, we felt very welcome! The food for breakfast and dinner was good. The national park is near, good loaction, although the roads are a little bit adaventerous at times. We had a nice stay and would recommend the hotel.
