Located in Lovedale, 18 km from Hunter Valley Gardens, Tonic Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

We booked the room with 2 bedrooms and living area, room 1. The place was nicer than expected and better than the photos. Spacious living area with a great view and fully equipped kitchen. Although when we used the microwave, it seemed like it worked but didn’t heat anything so had to just use the stove. There’s also a coffee machine but no pods available so you’ll need to bring your own nespresso pods. They give complimentary teas, and coffee sachets, and sugar, salt, pepper, and 2 small packets of milk. They have all pots and pans, plates, utensils available to use. The rooms were very clean and nice. Awesome view of the lake from the entire place. Separate showers and toilets which was great. They provide shampoo, body wash, bath salt for the tub, cotton buds, slippers to wear inside the place etc. the balcony is nice and spacious and has table and chairs so you can sit out with the view of the lake. Overall it was a nice place and would come back again! Ps-love that the place is dog friendly!!!!

Jo and Harvey are both very warm and charismatic. Totally loved their vibe! The place is spacious, comfortable and private. Stayed only for a night for a wedding but it was totally rejuvenating! Will be back for sure!

    The property is dog friendly and has vast grounds for the pup to play. The room has all amenities required for a wine loving weekend away. Teddy was comfortable sleeping with us and the room warmed up quite nicely with the heater going. Loads of local wineries and cafes and restaurants.

    Beautiful open space for sunset walks, cute little pond and beautiful flowers also. Super dog friendly, just watch out for the kangaroos that like to hang out around the place. It was so clean and Tracy was a responsive, polite and attentive host. She turned on the aircon for us before we arrived to ensure we had a place to cool off after our long drive! So close to local cafes/wineries/restaurants and an easy drive to the centre of the hunter for all the other attractions. The church and gardens were wonderful.

    Great location for the wedding at Peterson House that we attended. The check-in was nice and easy and not stressful. The concierge helped book my taxi to the venue. It was an external taxi company so can’t hold the hotel accountable for the expensive taxi ride. Managed to use the Haven Pool which was a nice way to relax before getting ready for the wedding. Ample free parking on site made it easy to leave the car and not have to worry about additional costs.
