We really loved staying here! First time I was there was with my family and this time I came with my boyfriend and it was just fantastic. Amazing quiet beach with hammocks and swings (no beach boys), delicious food (try the king prawns) and the girls at the spa gave us such an amazing couple massage! Our highlights were the safari that the front desk manager arranged for us and the dance shows that were part of the evening entertainment. Such a beautiful place, we will come back asap!!

Babalao Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Nungwi. We chose Babalao due to the great reviews on Booking and we can only verify all the good comments. Great facilities, service and the food is amazing. The quality of the food can definitely compete with the restaurants in the area. The location was great. Just 2' from the beach. The mosquito net and the AC with the fan in the room made a difference as it was very much needed due to the heat. The common area definitely made us spend quite a time there. The swimming pool is a plus. Max and Elena and Yahya great hosts and very attentive towards all guests. We would definitely come back.

The room was right in front of the beach. Perfect view. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was tasty. Special thank you to Sweetie and Kevin for being extra nice and helpful. I would definitely come back here again.

The stay was excellent the people we met along the way were wonderful. A nice massage and the voucher massage was a nice touch. One of the coolest places I’ve stayed in Zanzibar! Everything well maintained.

First I would like to say that the staff at Samawa was absolutely top tier. Extremely accommodating and attentive, and provided me a great experience with a smile. The facilities itself if beautiful and the room was very chic while still being comfortable. I didn’t know upon checking in that they even mosquito repel all of the rooms every evening, which is great!

The experience was idyllic both for location and facilities. It is truly a bespoke boutique hotel, run with great attention to detail by Malgo and Tomek. From the moment of arrival you are made very welcome and special. The accommodation is spacious and well designed for privacy from the other rooms, yet looking out towards the Ocean. The breakfast includes fresh juicy local fruit, as well as a substantial main selection guaranteed to set you up for the day. Meals are available throughout the day, individually prepared with an awesome selection of locally caught fish - the seared spiced Tuna was a delight. The staff from the nearby village were lovely, incredibly helpful and cheerful. The proprietors were very helpful in arranging airport transfers and proposed trips to Stone Town, fishing trips, spice farm visits - with all costs transparent when settling up at the end. I made full use of the scuba diving school 100 metres away along the beach, who arranged snorkelling/dive trips to Mnemba island with its reefs shoaling with diverse species of fish. The infinity beach is a special place with a family feel - and a refreshingly pleasant swimming pool.

I had an amazing stay at Sand Beach Boutique. The apartment was spacious, airy, and beautifully designed, combining modern aesthetics with colorful touches of African culture. The space was equipped with both air conditioning and a fan, which made my stay very comfortable. One of the features I truly appreciated was the mosquito and insect screens on the doors and windows, ensuring a bug-free environment throughout my stay. The hotel itself is new, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. Towels were changed daily, and the room was freshened up every day, which added to the overall comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted me with a smile. They were eager to assist with anything I needed, making the experience even more enjoyable. The garden and pool area were beautifully maintained, providing a serene and picturesque setting for relaxation. The owner was always present on-site and clearly dedicated to ensuring guests had a comfortable stay. Despite the island's limited resources, the hotel offered a seamless experience with reliable water, electricity, and excellent Wi-Fi. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Zanzibar. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, quality service, and cultural charm.
