We were greeted warmly after parking in front of the easily accessible, secure, free parking in front of the hotel. Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

Great hotel with exceptional service. The house is family owned and is quite old but everything was spotless clean and very comfortable. The dining area and common sala is very interesting and worth spending an evening or two in. The staff and service was exemplary. The breakfast was tasty, filling and very relaxing. The beds are huge and very comfortable.
