The people there are incredibly attentive and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast is world class. The location is stunning. As a personal side note to the owners: My father came to the U.S. from Kongsberg when he was in his very early 20’s and started his new life and family. Growing up in Southern California where my brother and I were exposed to a lot of the antique Scandinavian items, colors, and style. My father was a committed collector at flea markets and swap meets everywhere, and anytime he came across an old collectible related to his homeland, he would proudly bring it home and share the story of it with us, and then find a place to display it in their home. When we came into the main building to check in to our rooms, I told my 17 and 20 year old daughters, “this…this is the story your Grandfather was trying tell us with all those things”.
