Featuring a hot-spring bath, a small shrine in the lobby and a restaurant serving freshly caught seafood, Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort is a 5-minute walk from Oronko Rock. Our comfortable room was great, with a super view of the port, sea, Oronko Rock and Cape Utoro. The hotel is all inclusive and the meals were excellent! Free ice cream at the chocolate shop daily was a nice treat as was the snacks and drinks at the lounge area. The outdoor foot onsen is a great place for a sunset drink.

It was a very nice house with ample free parking for 2-3 cars. The host even has a Handheld Translator Device that we find it very useful as most local people in Hokkaido do not understand English. We stayed one night on the way to the park in a twin room. The room was specious and very clean. With a big window facing the garden. On the same floor there are also dorm sleep boxes with shared bathroom and kitchen. All in all we liked the place and wanted to extend the stay but it was fully booked.

It is very quiet and peaceful, which brings back my memory of the time I went to visit my grandparents in the rural area. Everything you need is there, very clean and tidy. Big space, more than enough for 4 of us. If we have a chance to visit the easten part of Hokkaido again, I will definitely want to stay here again.

Boasting a shared lounge and a bar, Shiretokoserai is set in Rausu. This 1-star guest house offers free WiFi. The accommodation provides a tour desk and luggage storage space for guests. The manager is a great host and cook. The facilities are very clean and the staff very easy to communicate with, when needed. We were able to have great seafood prepared for us by the host/cook and he also provided us with a guided tour of the immediate countryside.

Nastanitev Shiretoko Yuhi No Ataruie Onsen Hostel se nahaja v mestu Shari, 5 min hoje od znamenitosti narodni park Shiretoko, in ponuja pogled na morje. There was one particular staff member who was so helpful, he showed us how to use the microwave and was just really kind. The view of this place is phenomenal, I know there were some fancier hotels at sea level and I think those really miss out on these gorgeous views. We watched sea eagles flying in and it was a delight. The onsen was wonderful and quiet. We had tatami beds and western beds. The common areas had beautiful views as well, cool hand painted murals, and interesting books. This place was just delightful with great views.
