This place is magical. We've been to Japan a few times and this was one of our favourite stays ever. We stayed in the beautifully restored guest house and enjoyed an amazing Japanese breakfast in the main house every morning. The owners are a wonderful and incredibly generous family, who went above and beyond and even drove us to local restaurants and a great onsen. As we didn't have a car, we went on a hugely enjoyable tour of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field with the lovely and very knowledgable Nobu. Huge thanks to Nobu and her family for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.

Superb experience, we travelled to Echigo Yuzawa for 大地の芸術祭 Echigo Tsumari, to have better explore of the Event, we selected this hotel. The hotel provided a superb services, includes station pick up and drop off. Everything is great. The buffet breakfast is bery good.

A recently renovated apartment, NIPPONIA Sado 佐渡相川 金山町 offers accommodation in Sado. The apartment has family rooms. All units in the apartment complex are equipped with a kettle. Super clean and modern Japanese style, owner and staff were friendly and helpful.

Set in Nagaoka and only 3.3 km from Hori Naoyori Statue, お宿たまや offers accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. The owners were very friendly and nice, being from Singapore we were not used to the intensity of coldness in Nagaoka, and they brought for us an Aladdin heater. The place is clean, there were toys and books for my kids, the beds were very comfortable and we can find everything we need in the apartment.

Our hosts were so lovely and showed incredible hospitality. The house was beautiful and right in the snow resort with easy walking distance to ski lifts. The hosts were always on call and helped us with every question, even took us to the supermarket each day for supplies. I can not thank them enough. We stayed as a family of 9 and had an incredible time. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked most meals on site. The house provided a BBQ with charcoal for grilling. Each day our hosts filled the private Onsen tub for us to soak in after a big day skiing. Bedrooms were spacious and warm with many bed options. There are several rental shops close by for rental of snowboards, ski's and snow wear. We loved our stay over Christmas 2024 and cant not thank the hosts enough for such a memorable experience. Will definitely stay again!
