The location is convenient as it is attached to Aomori train station (which was very helpful as I did not get wet in the rain/snow!), with nearby department store, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations, aesthetically it was beautiful, spacious and a delightful place to stay. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help me (including via a translator app when needed). The breakfast was amazing, one of my favourite I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel amenities such as the onsen and the lounge with free evening beverages were a treat. If you get a chance to book dinner (need 24 hours notice) it will not disappoint!

Our room was absolutely beautiful, you could not help but feel calm. The bathroom, in particular, was a highlight, offering a fantastic range of high-quality toiletries that you feeling incredibly pampered. Breakfast was a delightful experience. The spread was impressive, with a focus on delicious and beautifully presented local specialties. The presentation of the fruit was truly artistic. What truly set Hotel Zen apart was the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like honoured guests. The personalized service, exemplified by Wataru's dedication to ensuring our comfort, made our stay truly special. Wataru went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From planning out for us a day in the Hakkoda Mountains, sending us our itinerary and all travel details to to picking us up and dropping us off at the train station when needed.

My stay here was Truly amazing. Stepping Through the door you get hit with a welcoming and extremely wholesome feeling. I got welcomed by Mayuko, the Incredibly kind owner, who you easily can have a fun and great conversation with. She taught me a little about the classic japanese dance and how to play shamisen, for both she has mastered (once you see the trophies you know). I got fed some incredibly delicious meals, and enough to feel completely stuffed. I was Incredibly lucky to be here with two other guests, who I shared some great laughs with. As a guesthouse comes , this is it in its finest sense. A great place where a feeling of openness and being welcomed, seeps through the air, and as you get to know the owner and other guests you get to share a wonderful time together. As I had to leave I found out the bus that I was planning on taking didn't run, Mayuko ended up driving me. I caught my bus in the nick of time, with her being the hero of the day. Thank you for everything!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Guest House Chara is located in Hirosaki, 34 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 3.5 km from Hirosaki Castle. The Kimura family are such nice people and they put their heart and soul into everything! Communication went well although we had to use an app as I don‘t speak Japanese (yet). The cooked breakfast was delicious and I got good advice. when I come to Hirosaki again I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so very much Mr. and Mrs. Kimura!

Situated in Ōkuki, 15 km from Konakano Station, 潮ドミ マリンキ 冬は薪ストーブ we have no AC features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. I think this might be the best place I've stayed in Japan. Log burning fire, hosts that bend over backwards to welcome you and they picked me up and dropped me off from Oja station. Brilliant pre stay communication. Excellent facilities.

Full commercial kitchen available for all guests to use including stove tops, table top oven, rice cooker, kettle etc. Spacious en-suite Japanese style bath/shower room was clean with modern facilities.
