The apartments, against a backdrop of golden sun ray in the late afternoon, greeted us in a very pleasant way when we arrived. They were new and clean. The kitchens were well equipped. A special thanks went to the host who came to alert us of an approaching hurricane that basically closed most of the roads in northern and eastern Iceland for days. She managed to give us the heads up and advise us to closely monitor the weather forecast and road conditions before we checked out. Her advice was essential for keeping us safe as we then extended our stay at the next stop to take shelter from the strong wind and sleet.

The cottage has a kitchenette, flat-screen TV and terrace with BBQ facilities (available in the summer only). Egilsstadir Airport Is 2.5 km away. Loved how it was facing the lake. We could not have found a better cottage. The ambiance was soothing and relaxing. There were sheep right at our doorsteps! We could park the car right outside. Facilities were amazing. Everything was perfect.

The rooms were nice decorated. Even rooms without a separate bathroom had their own sinks which helped A LOT.

We really enjoyed staying here, the layout and design of the cabins was refreshing and wonderful. Our hosts were extremely friendly and provided us with all the information we needed to explore the area. The beds were very comfortable too, and the serenity of the location was just breathtaking.
