Located within a 15-minute walk from the city centre, Hotel Barbakán has air-conditioned rooms with cable TV, a desk and free wired internet. Free public parking is possible by the hotel. Excellent little hotel in great location to visit Pecs, just a short stroll down the hill through the historic district to the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful, it was the cleanest hotel on this trip to Europe - 5weeks so far. Breakfast was great, cereals, breads, cooked eggs, bacon, sausages and French toast, in bright spotless breakfast room. Parking is available on site or just across the road in the hotel’s own car parking area. Look forward to staying again. Went to the sister hotel’s restaurant - the Szinbad Hotel for an excellent meal, and heartfully watched the staff kindly and discreetly assist a person of limited means who came in off the street for assistance, I found this very touching to witness. Thank you.

The family-run Bagolyvár Inn enjoys a scenic location amid the old vineyards of Pécs, and offers you charming rooms furnished in rustic Hungarian style. Bogolyvar Fogado is a very unique hotel in the world. It is located on top of a hill with spectaclar views. The hotel has been designed with love, imagination and care. The rooms and the entire hotel is decorated with traditional embroideries, beautiful poterry and antique photographs of Pecs. The hotel has a lovely dining room with a wide variety of delicious and home-made delicacies, including homemade cheese and marmalades. There is also a very large seperate restaurant with beautiful architectural designs. I arrived on New Yearr´s Eve and almost everything was closed but the owner´s son gave me a delicious complimentary salad. They were also very nice in upgrading my room from a single to a double room. The new room was very spacious, had a bathtub and also had beautiful emboideries on the wall. It was like staying in a museum and helped me learn and appreciate how talented and artistic is Hungarian culture. There is a bus at the bottom of the hill that takes you into town. However, the walk is lovely and it is next to a beautiful historical park. The owner´s mother was very sweet and kind to me and also recommended the porcelain museumss which were the best museums I visited. I enjoyed my stay in Pecs and highly recommend both the hotel and the city to anyone wanting to visit Hungary. The only recommendation I make to the hotel is as a vegetarian, I would have eaten more regularly at their restaurant had there been some more salad or vegetable dishes. Other than that, I think Pension Bogolyvar Fogado is an outstanding place to stay.

Bus lines right next to the guesthouse. Good breakfast and the restaurant offers excellent food. Very nice staff that was really helpful. Definitely recommendable and my destination for next time in Pécs.

Fantastic, spacious, modern apartment with every amenity imaginable! From coffee machine, through iron to sawing kit and shoe cleaning kit! Very clean and comfy. Everything we needed was already there. Quiet location even though is close to the center. Access to the intimate garden/patio was in plus for a smokers. Easy parking in front of the building, there was no problem with the parking spot most of the time. Owner, most kind and helpful person, greeted us, provided with useful information and was helpful during our stay. Highly recommending! We will definitely come back! :)

The staff was very helpful and recommended an amazing place to eat some local cuisine. The hotel is very close to the Center. The room was bigger than I expected, very clean and quiet to sleep.
