Situated in Cockermouth, 18 km from Buttermere and 22 km from Derwentwater, Tithe Barn - Self Check In Hotel features accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. The design of the room was lovely, it was really clean and stylish. The self check in element was easy to do and the owners were proactively helpful through messages. the included breakfast at the veeva cafe is the best included breakfast I’ve ever had. if/when i come back to cockermouth I’ll be making sure i stay here. wow what a treat it was!

Greag breakfast and friendly people. Restaurant and bar were also great. And the room was super comfortable.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Everything! it was so comfortable. The room was one of the nicest we stayed in during our vacation. the village was right there and charming. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly & professional. Highly recommended

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Loooovely breakfast, you choose from a menu and they make it fresh for you. On top of that you can eat cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit salad, but you better be hungry after the first part. And the view from the brekafast room is a nice bonus! The house is decorated very nicely and the rooms are nice.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent!! Stars plus for breakfast 😊

Staff was excellent Ms Barbara at reception, Akhil at bar and this other gentleman who ushered us at lunch to our seats, the Chinese waitress at breakfast ....all amazing plus food surpassed anything ever had before.

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. It was really clean, and very cute!
