We were visiting Caerphilly for the final stage of the 2023 Tour of Britain Bicycle Race. Y Fan was a great place to stay. It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

The hosts did everything they could to help us have an amazing stay for a wedding which we had down the road. We’re already planning a trip back but this time to do a bit of walking and exploring. Couldn’t recommend more!
