With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Nice staff, comfortable bed, dog friendly, excellent breakfast. Thanks for the dog towels :)

Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. EVERYTHING !!! Staff was excellent Ms Barbara at reception, Akhil at bar and this other gentleman who ushered us at lunch to our seats, the Chinese waitress at breakfast ....all amazing plus food surpassed anything ever had before.

Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!
