Offering a garden and mountain view, Hof zur Steinwänd is situated in Micheldorf in Oberösterreich, 45 km from Wels Exhibition Centre and 30 km from Großer Priel. The accommodation is in a good location in the valley of the River Styer. The lady of the house is very helpful and allowed us access to the garage for motorbikes and evening sitting in the restaurant. The breakfasts were absolutely exceptional. We would love to visit this accommodation again :-).

Located in Hinterstoder, 21 km from Großer Priel, TRIFORÊT alpin resort provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. A newly built hotel, very modern and thoughtfully designed. We rented a chalet—a small, two-story house equipped with a sauna, kitchen, artificial fireplace, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a huge spacious living room. The reception and staff, in general, were very friendly and helpful. We did encounter some issues with the drain spigot in the bathroom, but it was fixed quickly and with good humor. However, I would recommend replacing this type of spigot as its design is rather unusual, i would say even strange. The area around the hotel is a paradise for skiing enthusiasts. Words can’t do it justice—you really have to see it for yourself. The hotel is situated at an elevation of 1,400 meters, ensuring plenty of snow even when it’s raining in the valley. However, you’ll need chains to drive up there, as the road can be tricky with snow and ice. Breakfast was excellent, though it’s served in another building about a 5-minute walk away. The walk, however, is a pleasant one with breathtaking mountain views, so there’s no reason to complain. The restaurant staff could improve table management, as tables for 4–6 were sometimes occupied by just two guests—though they were likely enjoying the mountain views with their morning coffee. The InterSport shop on-site provides all the ski equipment you might need, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. We also tried the skiing school for our 8-year-old daughter. While I’m not sure if the group lessons were worth the cost, the private lesson made a significant difference. To sum up in a few words: this is truly a snow paradise!

15 km from Sonntagberg Basilica, Tiny House Birner Ertl is a recently renovated property situated in Ertl and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. My stay at this Austrian tiny house was exceptional. It’s an absolute dream - secluded, surrounded by lush greenery, and undeniably beautiful. If you’re seeking an escape from the ordinary, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Set within 28 km of Großer Priel and 41 km of Trautenfels Castle in Rossleithen, Aberle Apartments offers accommodation with seating area. Chris was a very attentive host. He made us feel welcome at this cosy apartment. He was always in touch and ensured we were comfortable and happy with our stay. The apartment was modern and well-equipped. We appreciated and admired the view from the balcony. We enjoyed the delicious complimentary things provided by our host. The bed was spacious and so comfortable. We had plenty of towels in the bathroom. Just make sure you bring your own toiletries with you.

Situated in Spital am Pyhrn and only 27 km from Admont Abbey, Lucky Lady features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The hosts are wonderful people, very friendly (they even welcomed us with beer, haha) and you will really have a good time talking to them. The location was incredible, one of the best where I stayed in Austria. The cleanliness in the apartment was impeccable.
