Bamflatt Farm Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Strathaven

This family-run B&B is situated in central Lanarkshire, 30 minutes’ drive from Glasgow. There is free WiFi and free parking on site, and Larkhall Train Station is 10 minutes away.

It was easy to find the farm which is extremely well signposted. There was a welcoming reception from the hostess and the room was extremely comfortable - and warm on a rather cold night. In the room there was helpful information about where one might eat in the area — and I was very happy to make use of this information. In the morning breakfast was freshly cooked and before I left I was given helpful information about how long to leave to get to my destination that day.

A large, well-equipped, clean and comfortable room in a lovely building that looked out over farmland and beyond. There was ample safe parking and the area was incredibly quiet. Breakfast was nicely set out and the warm food was well-cooked and very tasty. Good bedding and towels and lots of storage space. Good location just off the road and only 5 minutes from Strathaven. Pleasant hosts.

Bedroom was clearly newly refurbished. There was a good walk-in shower (I prefer this to an over bath shower).. Bed was very comfy. Hotel seemed very popular with locals. Plenty of parking. Garden. Its a good location to break a journey a few miles from the motorway.

Very comfortable beds, parking very close to room, the shower was best in Scotland! Plenty of water pressure from a large shower head. Full Scottish breakfast was perfectly cooked complete with juices, tea or coffee. A variety of cereals were also available. We would definitely stay again.

The single room I stayed had everything I needed after a long drive from Orkney. The bed was comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. The bathroom was great, with a good powerful shower. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the waitress serving breakfast. Plenty of parking, nice quite location. All good.
